Pelvic Ultrasounds

Pelvic ultrasound is a non-invasive medical imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the internal structures within the pelvic region, including the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, bladder, and prostate gland in males. It is commonly used to evaluate conditions such as pelvic pain, abnormal vaginal bleeding, infertility, and urinary incontinence.

During the procedure, a small handheld device called a transducer is placed on the abdomen or inside the vagina to capture the images. Pelvic ultrasounds are considered safe and painless and do not involve the use of ionizing radiation.
